Corsage Choker/Headband
Simple and small strip of knitting that is ruffled and then wrapped to form a flower at the neck or on your head. Very “Sex and the City”!
Skill Level: Easy
Sizing Information:
- One size-
- Finished width: 1.25” / 3 cm
- Finished choker length: 27” / 68.5 cm
- Finished headband length: 30” / 76 cm
Materials:
Choker:
52 yd / 47 m (1 ball) Classic Elite Princess (40% merino, 28% viscose, 10% cashmere, each approx. 1 3/4 oz / 50g and 150 yd / 135m), in color 3458 Royal red (medium/worsted weight)
Headband:
65 yd / 59 m (1 ball) Berroco Suede Deluxe (85% nylon, 10% rayon, 5% polyester, each approx. 1 3/4 oz / 50g and 100 yd / 92m), in color 3904 Hopalong Gold (medium/worsted weight)
Both:
- One pair 5 mm / US 8 needles
- One 4 mm / US G-6 crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
Gauge
- 6 sts = approx. 1.25” / 3 cm in stitch pattern
- 6 rows = approx. 11” / 2.5 cm in stitch pattern
- Gauge does not matter.
- Choker has fewer ruffles at one end, creating a smaller flower that stays in place at the neck better.
