Corset Pullover
The Corset Pullover is for ladies who would like to show off their hourglass figure but don’t want to bother with waist shaping. It’s extremely stretchy and meant to be very close-fitting. There are no fixed sizes: the instructions will show you how to make it a custom fit.
You need to be able to knit and purl through the back loop, knit and purl two stitches together, and read charts. There are no line-by-line instructions for the stitch patterns! However, no special knitting skills are needed. The only extras are i-cord bind-offs, imitating the piping on a corset (instructions are included).
The bottom is a tube top worked in the round. The sleeves repeat one fourth of the bodice and are sewn in place. The lace yoke is knitted on, but can be worked in a different colour or a different yarn if you like. Laceweight or light fingering weight yarn will be best.
Mind you: this is not a corset, but a pullover – without bones or laces, and without any slimming effect. It will, however, make a very nice corset cover.
