en I learned to knit, fingerless mitts were one of the first projects I made. Finally, something to keep my chilly hands toasty and my fingers free to type, read, and of course, knit!

Pick an extra warm fiber—this merino/alpaca blend is especially snug—in a yarn with good stitch definition and you’re on track for a warm heart and hands until spring.

Sizes: Child (teen, adult S, adult L); finished circumference: 6 ½ (7, 7 ¾, 8 ½)”/16.5 (18, 19.5, 21.5) cm.
