Cosmopolis Vest
This women’s vest is a great multi-seasonal layering piece. Knit from the bottom hem up, it features a boxy fit. It is worked in 2 colors of DK-weight yarn, with the body worked in stockinette stitch and the front bands and sleeve bands knit in a simple ribbed pattern. Choose a fun button (or pin) to hold the front bands closed.
Sample is shown modeled in the size 36 ½” (92.75) cm size with 2 ½” (6.25 cm) of positive ease. This garment is meant to be worn with at least 1-2” of positive ease, as a layering piece.
If substituting yarns, you will need the equivalent of 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins of the main color (shown here in Slate) and 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins of the contrast color (shown here in Noir).
Suggested skills: Knit/purl, basic knowledge of decreases.
