Cosmos Flower Scarf
A scarf inspired wholly by the gorgeous yarn from Round Table Yarns that it’s worked in, it’s perfect to wrap a couple times around your neck and secure with a fun shawl pin to show off the petaled edges. Longer petals are worked by adding chains or foundation single crochet stitches and as the petals get shorter again, we simply don’t work into the last few stitches of certain rows. The pattern also includes a schematic to help you visualize the layout as well as detailed instructions with stitch counts at the end of each row and descriptions of the special stitches used.
STITCHES & TECHNIQUES:
- Single Crochet
- Extended Single Crochet
- Double Crochet
- Treble Crochet
- Double Treble Crochet
- Some experience with cluster stitches recommended.
GAUGE:
26 sts = 6” on my hooks. I worked my sc and esc with a normal tension but then really kept control on my taller sts to help them stay nice and neat. Get a nice fabric feel with your sc sts and then adjust hook size and/or tension on your taller stitches to match.
SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Following above gauge, this is a short scarf, measuring just 54” in length. At its narrowest, in the middle, it measures 3” but it flares to 4.25” wide on each end.
SUGGESTED MATERIALS:
