Cosy basket weave cowl
This pattern is available as a

For you who dowloaded the english version on 4 of May (UK time) : I had confused the swedish and english words for the slipped stitch. “Lift 1 stitch” should be “SLIP 1 stitch”.
This is a simple basket weave cowl, perfect for beginners as everything you need to know is how to cast on and off, knit and purl stitches.
The basket weave pattern makes a squishy fabric which is ideal for warm and cosy winter garments like this cowl.
If a straight scarf is preferred, simply make it a bit longer and don’t sew the short edges together.
Tension/Gauge is not super important as it’s a garment in one size without any fitting.
The colour of the yarn used in the picture is called “Bark”.
