Cosy Cushion Cover
I initially made the Cosy Back Roll Cover (Lumbar Roll), after suffering a slipped disc and realising my existing cover could do with replacing.
Once I had done this, I loved the pattern so much, and the stitch (Aunt Aggie’s Mesh Stitch), which gives a lovely cosy texture and is simple to work, I had to go ahead and make a cushion cover to match the Lumbar Roll cover!
This pattern is the end result.
It is made with any worsted weight yarn, Aran/10ply, and your favourite hook. I used a 5mm and a 4.5mm for the buttonhole border.
I used 1 skein of yarn, but came almost to the end of it, so be prepared in case you need a little more than 1 skein.
The cover is worked in 3 parts, the back and 2 front pieces, which overlap for the buttonhole border. All three are then crocheted together with a couple of rows of simple single crochet through all layers, and finished off with 1 row of reverse sc.
I have included pictures where possible to show how the cover is put together.
I check and double check all my patterns, but as always, if you see any glaring mistakes, just let me know, and I will see that is put right! We all learn as we go. :)
As always, have fun, and enjoy!
AG :)
