Cottage Chic Amigurumi Fish
Featured in the July (Issue 16) of Happily Hooked Magazine, add a little coastal charm to any area of the home with these decorative shabby chic rustic fish hanging decorations. They would look great in a seaside / beach / nautical themed room.
This is an easy pattern suitable for beginners looking to learn some new crochet techniques. The majority of the pattern is worked without joining; placing a stitch marker in the top of the first stitch to mark start of round.
Pattern is written in UK and US terms and includes explanations of all stitches and abbreviations.
Yarn:
You can any craft cotton (at least 8ply) for this pattern; the best kind is the kind you make dishcloths out of. You will need at least 50g (55 yards / 50 metres) of yarn.
Hook: 3.75mm (US size F)
You will also need:
6 x Wooden Beads (I used ‘Trimmits’ 1.5cm)
At least 60 inches of jute twine
