ABOUT
Introducing the Cottage Wrap, an accessory for the cooler months of the year. When I couldn’t find a pattern that was fast and fashionable I wrote one myself. It is seamless, elegant, and effortlessly flattering on all head sizes. Knit in worsted weight yarn, the Cottage Wrap provides warmth and style without compromising your hairstyle or makeup. It drapes beautifully over the head and keeps ears and neck warm. Designed for efficiency, this project has minimal ends to weave in. Quick, satisfying, and timeless, it’s a perfect addition to your handmade wardrobe or a thoughtful gift.

Level of difficulty: Advanced beginner

WORKFLOW
You will start by making the back of the head. From there, you will pick up new stitches for the hood in a ‘’U-shape’’. After this you will create the scarf portion by casting on and picking up stitches around the neck. The hooded scarf is finalized by steeking the scarf that has been knit in the round.

SIZE
One size.
Laying flat the hood is 25 cm wide and 29 cm in height (not including the width of the scarf portion). Laying flat the scarf is 12 cm wide and 88 cm in length. Unmodified pattern fits a head circumference of approx. 55-63cm. Note that the material allows for some stretch. The pattern is easily modified to make it wider and/or longer if desired.
