This bib was designed so that it can just be slipped over the baby’s head. The center opening is large enough to accommodate up to adult size head.

Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim DK yarn has 218 yards per skein. Two skeins will make 3 bibs. You can use two different colors to make the bibs and knit in stripes or any other color combination. Debbie Bliss works well but any DK soft cotton yarn could be used to make this bib.

Dimensions: 8.5 “ wide by 12” long.
Techniques used:
Garter stitch in the round (knit 1 round, purl 1 round)
Decreases--knit 2 together (k2tog) and slip, slip, knit (ssk)
Picking up and knitting stitches (puk) along the long sides of the bib.
Short rows.

The upper part of the bib is worked in garter stitch in the round. There are 4 corner sts and decreases are knit on either side of the corner sts on the knit round. The following round is purled, except to knit the corner sts. Then a stretchy bind off is worked on the final knit round. Stitches are then picked up along the bottom long edge and knitted down to form the body of the bib. The last inch of the bib’s front is worked in garter st to prevent the bottom from curling.
