This cotton baby blanket is in the style of a vintage sampler, with a splash of modern colours. The blanket has wide bands of contrasting colour and textured stitch patterns with a garter stitch border. Only knit and purl stitches are used, so the pattern is suitable for a beginner knitter, while showcasing the variety of effects possible from only two stitches. An easy method to give beautiful, neat edge stitches is included.
