The Cottonwood cowl is the mate to the Cottonwood hat.
It is knitted in the round with a two color stranded knitting method. The body slightly increases between the ribbed borders.
The pattern is fully written, offers a chart and a how to catch the floats in the back video link. The blocked cowl measures 27.5“ in circumference and 10.75“ in height.
Yarn used here
Taut, a sport weight yarn. 148 yards/50 grams skeins in a washable blend of 50/50 cotton/ acrylic.
2 colors used, 2 skeins for main color Creme, 1 skein for accent color Espresso.

Notions
US size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle,
20” (51 cm) in length.
Stitch markers, one to mark beginning of round and 8 markers for the pattern repeats.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.
Gauge
24 sts and 32 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied
Knitting and purling in the round, stranded knitting, catching floats in the back, binding off, weaving in ends and blocking.
