Cottonwood Shawl
This triangular shawl is worked from the top down beginning with a garter tab cast on, and increases 4 stitches every RS row. It is designed to make the most of one 100g skein of any fingering weight yarn. You can substitute any weight yarn you like, though your yarn usage will vary the dimensions, needle size, gauge, and yardage needed.
This pattern is a perfect travel companion project, as it requires only one skein and the repeats are easily memorized.
With this particular yarn I had exactly enough yarn to make a blocked 6x6 inch swatch, which weighed 6 grams, leaving 94 grams for the shawl itself.
