Couch & Crackers Socks

This sock pattern is the first pattern in a series of timeless, simple sock patterns which are all designed to be a joyful and relatively mindless knit - with just enough patterning to keep your interest and leave you with a fun finished sock that can be used for both women and men.

This specific pattern has a rib-like texture which makes it very stretchy so it would be suitable for gift socks when you don’t know the recipient’s exact foot size. It comes in three sizes and can be further adjusted by going up or down a needle size.

With all of my patterns, I like to give you my general recipe but at the same time leave lots of space for you to maybe add different techniques and customize the sock exactly to your taste. For example, feel free to lengthen the leg, change up the heel or use a different toe! Knitting is supposed to be fun so I invite you to play around and see what you like best.

This pattern comes with both written and charted instructions as well as photos to help you with the included afterthought heel instructions.
While the pattern is written for cuff-down knitting it can easily be adapted to be toe-up.
