This shawl pattern is a modified summer shawl that I made years ago, before I learned the importance of making notes on what I knit. A Tucson knitter had asked for the pattern. As usual after 8 years the yarn was no longer available, I am not even sure if that Indy yarn company is still in business. So this is my current interruption of that summer shawl.

It comes in 2 sizes a small/medium and a large. This was designed for me so it has the short chunky body in mind. The model is 6 inches taller than me and is a size small modeling a size large shawl.

You will need 2 to 3 skeins of Jilly with Cashmere by Dream in Color to get an exact match to the drape. With cost in mind one of my test knitters did this with fingering weight Merino yarn and has had nice results.

The only thing you will need besides the yarn is 1 pair of US #11 by 14 inch long straight knitting needles.

As usual I tried to knit this shawl in as many different places as possible, including airports, airplanes, the emergency room, Thursday’s knit group and of course at home. I also learned that no matter how simple the pattern it is a very good idea to count as you go. Yes, I frogged this pattern 5 times before I got my rhythm down.
