This Aran cushion cover is worked on 5mm needles and has three types of cable: bobble, plaited and criss-cross. The chunky bobbles are worked within a twisted cable, the plaits run downwards and both frame an intricate, six-strand cable with a celtic feel. Each pattern has 24 rows and 5 pattern repeats are worked in total. The back of cushion cover is worked in stocking stitch and fastens with 5 buttons on a single rib band.

Although it looks complex, the instructions are very straightforward and easily followed. It takes around 300g of Aran (Worsted, 10 ply) yarn.
