A relaxed smart-casual stylish jacket. This jacket has a soft shawl collar in garter stitch, beautifully framed by the edge stitches of the 2 fronts. The pocket edgings are also edged in garter stitch to give a neat tailored finish. The main pattern is a four row twist stitch pattern. The inspiration for this design actually came when I was eating in an Italian restaurant and the man at the next table was wearing this soft, casual jacket in a loosely woven, slightly tweedy fabric. I loved the look of it so much that as soon as I got home I sketched out a version - and here it is!
