The Country Road Shell was inspired by our little dirt road. It’s made up of a lot of sand and little stones from beginning to end.

Every time we go for a walk, my children run up, multiple times, excited to show me the beautiful rocks they found. They bring many home and they live in a jar on the kitchen window sill above the sink. They dump them out from time to time to admire the beauty of their found treasure.

How wonderful it is to see the world from the eyes of a child. They see the beauty in everything. That is something I want to hold onto forever.

It is listed as an Advanced Beginner skill level. It is worked as 2 separate panels with a simple stitch repeat, then seamed together and finished off with a few little details.
