Coupled-Cable Hat
This pattern is user-friendly and a great intro to cabling! I rate it at beginner-to-moderate difficulty, and assume the reader has basic knowledge of casting on, knitting, purling, and working in the round. Other stitches used (cabling, SSK, k2tog) are briefly described.
The hat works up as a one-size-fits-most for teenagers and adults, but can easily be adjusted for a larger head.
I used Berroco Vintage Chunky in Sunny (#6121), which claims to be a bulky weight, but I honestly think works up more like a worsted-weight. I think any worsted-weight or lighter bulky-weight yarn (for a denser fabric) should be great for this pattern. Wool blends are especially great for hats since they are warm and cozy, and can handle a little water! I especially love the fall vibe that the warm yellow gives the hat.
You’re welcome to sell any of these hats that you make, but please credit me for the pattern when you do!
