A Möbius appears to be three dimensional, but in reality is a single surface with one edge. The shape is used in lanterns on sailing ships, conveyor belts, and scarves. Knitted seamlessly in the round, they are the true Infinity Scarf.

This scarf includes a unique cast on that differs from the one Cat Bordhi uses. This cast on is still from the center line of the scarf, and there is a photo tutorial that guides you through the steps.

It is made intentionally with a half twist. It is not the result of accidentally creating a full twist when attempting to join in the round.

A small Möbius scarf lies flat, filling in the gaps under a coat collar without slipping off. A large one wraps cosily twice around the neck without needing to constantly adjust the ends.

This scarf is highly adaptable and can use up leftover yarn. You can change the size by adding more or fewer stitches to your cast on. You can also make this scarf in any weight yarn. You can incorporate different yarns to add interest to your stripes. It is important to have a drapey fabric, so choose your yarn and needles accordingly.
