Couronne/Coronet
This Crochet Couronne /Coronet was seen on ravelry and was a pattern in a copy of the “Australian Women’s Weekly” published in 1942. The pattern was crocheted in Macrame string and/or parcel string. This was such an appealing pattern, very Chic yet cute, that I decided to create my version, as everything old is new again. My version is made in 8 ply Heirloom Cotton, 2, 50 gram balls or 240 metres using 4 mm US 6/G crochet hook. The pattern is in one piece and is not at all difficult. The only stitches used are tr / U.S dc, sl st and a forward post treble/US double crochet.
The Forward post treble / US dc is explained in the pattern
Video Tutorials are available on the various stitches used in the pattern. These stitches can only be viewed on the Ravelry site prior to printing the pattern. Just click on the stitch to view.
