Step into audacity with the Court Jester Socks and thumb your nose at the patriarchy. The court jester, with their brazen subversiveness, had a unique role throughout history. While their antics and attire may have seemed frivolous at first glance, much like these socks, jesters were there to mock the king and keep royalty grounded. By knitting and wearing these socks, you’re not just making a fashion statement, you’re channeling the spirit of resistance and playful rebellion that court jesters epitomized. These are more than just socks; they are a small act of defiance. Wear them with pride and smirk, knowing you are part of a long tradition of poking fun at power.
These socks are worked in the round from the frilly cuff down and feature a classic short row heel. Eyelet Mock Cables are worked around the leg and are carried down the top of the foot.
