This courtesan au chocolat is a miniature version of the patisserie masterpiece from Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Being almost totally incapable of producing something as beautiful as the courtesan au chocolat in my own kitchen, I came up with this crochet version, which stands between 5cm and 6cm tall when it’s all put together, assuming the yarn weight and hook size specified are used.

Crocheted in the round, sewn together and then decorated, this only takes a few metres of each colour and is constructed quite simply. I am quite new to crochet so please forgive any incorrect abbreviations or terminology, I will do my best to make any corrections that may be required.
