The Courting Rainbows Tunisian Entrelac design includes the pattern for a 22” (55cm) square motif based on the traditional “courthouse Steps” Quilting Block.

The pattern includes 12 pages of color-coded crochet charts, written instructions and handy tips.

This design is rated EASY; is worked only in Tunisian Knit Stitch (TKS) and is suitable for the crafter who has tried entrelac crochet before and is ready to expand their skills.

Tunisian Knit Stitch is tantamount to stitch trickery! The fabric that it creates looks very much like the knitted ‘stocking stitch’ and is very warm – just perfect for the cooler months.

Thinking outside of the entrelac box;
Tunisian crochet is an exciting technique that is considered by many to be a hybrid of knitting and crochet.

Entrelac is a technique typically used to create a textured diamond (or square) pattern in two or more colors. Being a lover of Motif designs, with a severe aversion to both weaving in ends and sewing motifs together, entrelac gives me a reprieve from both. While the technique appears to be a complicated mess of sewing, joining and seam matching frustration, the actual material comprises of interconnected blocks of color with very minimal seams!
