We are in the middle of the harvest season and I designed the Cous-cous cardi to match all the lovely summer-dresses. This cardi is an everlasting wardrobe-piece that really never goes out of fashion, nor of season (depending on which wool used to work it). Flattering rib-pattern combined with a small “wheat”-pattern, edged with moss-stiches makes it just adorable worn with dresses or skirts, or making that feminine touch to a pair of trousers or bermudas. I will be wearing mine long after the wheat-harvest has ended - and look forward to wear it as a layering piece this winter.

The knitting of the cardi was quite addictive! Starting at the neck-line and worked top-down in one piece, and something interesting to move you on from row to row it gave great pleasure working. with buttonhole-bands and button-bands integrated it requires NO SEAMING at all. And you have the possibility to make the sleeves and body longer (or shorter) add more or less buttons to your liking.

The pattern gives you 4 sizes to choose from. If you work at 27st/10cm-4” bust measurements will be:
Size 1. 80cm/31” Size 2: 86cm/34” Size 3: 98cm/38” Size 4: 104cm/41”
If you work at 26st/10cm-4” bust measurements will be:
Size 1: 83cm/33” Size 2: 90cm/35.5” Size 3: 102cm/40” Size 4: 108cm/42.5”
Length of cardigan is 50.5cm/20” for sizes 1 and 2 and 53cm/21” for sizes 3 and 4

I used the extremely soft and gorgeous King Llama and Mulberry silk from Aslan Trends to work the Cous-cous cardi. If you haven’t worked it Before, I would highly recommend it!
You might use other wool qualities working the cardi, as long as you respect the gauge.
