Couture Cowl
by Kathy Ticho
On recent shopping excursion, I picked up an Italian knit cowl with an interesting stitch pattern I knew I wanted to deconstruct. This pattern is the result of that inspiration. The unique undulating stitches create 3-dimensional peaks and valleys and the open stitch pattern provides drape without being heavy. I’ve designed the cowl in two lengths. The longer and narrower, color-blocked version can be worn as an elongated loop or twisted and wrapped a second time around the neck. The shorter, wider monotone version is intended to be a loose and boxy neck warmer.
