Layers of curves, like overlapping waves, travel the length of this scarf. The ripple edge gives way to lines of stitches that converge at the top in a series of shells. The ripple edge is worked sideways & attached as you go.
The main body of the scarf is worked lengthwise, from bottom up, starting with the widest part of the shells. In between the shells are groups of stitches worked in double knitting. As you work up the shell, stitches are decreased in the shell and at the same time, more stitches are worked in double knitting. This creates the crescent shape of the scarf. After the body is done, the edging is worked sideways and attached as you go. Stitches are picked up across one shell and the edging completed for that section before moving on to the next shell.

Scarf is 7” wide and 70” long.

Skills used are standard decreases, chart reading, picking up sts, loop cast-on, short rows.
