Covered Christmas Ornaments
These ornament covers are simple to make. They are knit flat and the cast on edge is sewn to the cast off edge to make a tube. The ends are gathered around a glass or plastic ornament.
Each takes less than 2 hours from start to finish.
2021 Update includes directions for using either DK weight or fingering weight yarn.
This is ideal for using the leftover self-striping yarn in your stash.
DK weight yarn requires U.S. Size 4 needles and 15 yards of yarn
Fingering weight yarn requires U.S. Size 2 needles and 32 yards of yarn.
Instructions are written for a 2 1/2 inch diameter ornament and include directions for adjusting the length and width to accommodate different size ornaments
