COVID Thoughts and a Prayer
When the Corona Virus invaded our lives and our country and the world was shutting down, Ben, our Operations Manager penned a prayer that was distributed in Mountain Meadow Wool’s e-newsletter. Designer Sharon Britton Miller was inspired by the prayer and created this lovely knitted circular design the encourages you to knit through the “doorway to comfort and hope.”
This intermediate project produces a beautiful scarf that has a finished size of 9”X72”. The kit includes the pattern and 2 skeins of Dove colored DK weight yarn and 1 skein of Fire colored DK weight yarn. Additional notions needed are size 7 needles, a set of 5 double point needs in 6” and 10” lengths, or circular needles 16” as a substitute for 10”, a H – crochet hook, stitch holders, row marker, waste yarn and a tapestry needle.
The circular pattern includes bobbles, short row shaping and 3 needle bind-off .
MMW Family Prayer to All
To the traveler of land, sea, and air may you be strengthened in heart, mind, and soul.
May the hands that hold your needles be steadfast and sure and may our yarn bring you peace as it travels through your fingers.
May the shoulders that wear our clothing experience added warmth and comfort in times of distress.
To the home bound, lonely, or scared may your fears be lifted and doorway to comfort and hope opened.
And to all, may you remain in good health, uplifted spirits, and remember to be not afraid.
