This sweater was inspired by the Native American sweater style called Cowichan but with a definite Seattle flair.

Cowichan sweaters are typically done with roving style wool in at least two different natural colors and has a signature

shawl collar. The Cowichan Hawk Sweater follows the design queues in construction, styling, and shape but it embodies

the 12 th Man spirit. Go Hawks!

Size is for an average 10-year-old

Materials:

Yarn: Cascade Lana Grande (100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 100g/87.5 yards) in the following colors:

 4 #6055 Deep Sapphire (MC)

 2 #6065 Silver Grey (CC1)

 1 #6066 Granny Smith (CC2)

 1 #6057 White (CC3)

Needles: 2 sets of Size 11 Circular Needles (1 st at least 28 inches long and the 2nd at least 15 inches long).

Notions: Zipper, open bottom, 14 inches long in White or Light Grey

Stitch Markers: At least 8 stitch markers will be needed. Not required, but highly recommended.

Darning Needle: To sew the sleeve seams and tuck in the yarn after completion
