Cowl #9 is worked bottom-up in brioche stitch pattern, where increases are worked in light color rounds and decreases are worked in dark color rounds.
The cowl is shaped with the decreases and fits nicely on the shoulders and neck. It is quite stretchy, when blocking you can adjust size, to some degree.
For the cowl shown, I used hand dyed worsted yarns 9/2 (100% merino, 492 yds 450 meters/100 g) from Klintemarksgaard.dk (farm shop). This yarn is much like Malabrigo Sock in quality and volume.
Yarn required: Light color 251-262 yds. (230-240 meters), dark color 230-241 yds. (210-220 meters)
