cowl at the wind
15% of all profits from the knitting primate (on ravelry and etsy) will be donated to charity, see which organizations I support here
Stave off the cold with this cabled cowl worked sideways in a bulky yarn. An attached i-cord is added to both edges for a clean finish. The directionality of the cables alternates, lending visual interest to the cowl.
The pattern uses written and charted instructions. Once you have your cables set up, the pattern is easy to follow and with the super-bulky yarn it flows off your needles quickly.
The cowl begins with a provisional CO and the Kitchener stitch is used to seam the cowl.
Yarn:
4 skeins of Berroco Peruvia Quick (or similar super-bulky yarn)
Gauge:
16st and 18 rows = 9cm in staghorn cables
Needles:
8mm straight (or 32” or longer circular) needles and 8mm dpn
Finished measurements:
45cm wide (unstretched)
app 80cm circumference (unstretched)
