Perfect for keeping cozy on long winter walks, this stunning heavy-worsted-weight cowl has a graceful, meandering lace pattern that works its way around the cowl. The garter edge keeps the cowl from curling, ensuring a warm winter walk.

Shown here in Cascade’s 220 Superwash Aran (a heavy-worsted superwash merino wool), this cowl knits up quickly. I used up just about all the yarn on the skein.

Directions are charted and row-by-row.

Since you’ll be working flat, you can use either circs or straight needles to make this cowl which is seamed after BO.

This design sits up close to the neck … I have given directions on how to double the circumference (and you must use two skeins).

So get knitting before Father Winter comes calling, you may even have time to knit a few for gifts.
