The knitting pattern I am submitting is for a two-sided cowl. I have incorporated a basic eyelet stitch into a ruching stitch ribbon or “band” as I call it in the pattern. I call this the Eyelet Ruching Stitch Band. There are three of these Eyelet Ruching Stitch Bands separated by a Stockinette Stitch Band (4 total).
The Eyelet stitch is an eight-stitch pattern stitched within a ribbon of ruching stitch. I am providing a photograph the finished cowl. Each side of the outside layers has a knitted rolled edge. (See photograph of finished garment). I wanted the inner layer to feel luxurious against the neck, so my instructions call for either a kid mohair or baby alpaca yarn depending on the comfort level of the garment’s wearer.
