I designed this pattern with the drape and stretch of soy in mind (silk or any fiber that tends to stretch when worn would also work nicely). If choosing to knit this with a material other than the one recommended, please use the washed and worn gauge included with the pattern. Knit from the bottom up with little seaming (shoulder seams only). It is a quick and flattering project.

Gauge above is UNWASHED… Washed and blocked gauge (taken from the top after being washed and worn for a day) is:

20 sts = 10 cm (4”)

Also, if using a yarn other than the recommended (or other yarn that stretches with wear) ensure that you compensate for the length of the garment when knitting, especially in the armholes. They are tight to accommodate the stretching of the soy. I would suggest 1.5cm (.5”) - 2.5cm(1”) depending on how loose you like the arm holes.

Also the neckline should say “pick up and knit” not just pick up….
