Coworker Beanie
My partner needed a beanie for his coworker and so I set out to design something that would be perfectly giftable. It had to be classic and timeless, but with enough detail to keep it interesting. Something that used just one skein so I could pull from stash and a pattern that was quick and easy to work up. And I topped it off with short row shaping for a crown that looks incredible but is surprisingly easy to work up. Now all that’s left is gifting it and hoping the coworker loves wearing it as much as I loved designing it!
The hat is easily adjustable in height and circumference and can be worn in any number of styles - keep it as a classic fitted beanie, brim it, slouch it, or vary it by day. The pattern is reversible, with the option of one or two lines of texture. It’s created with beginner stitches, but the short row shaping makes the pattern best suited to an adventurous beginner or intermediate crocheter.
