I found this new Hygge yarn made by Red Heart, and I just had to give it a try. It’s so very soft and squishy!
I wanted to make sure I made something that totally embodied the idea of Hygge when I used it, and what is more welcoming and cozier than a wonderfully soft oversized sweater!? Nothing! (well maybe puppies and kittens, but you can’t wear those).
I designed this pullover so that it works for a variety of body types. If you’re a slight lass, then it’ll be awesomely oversized and drapey; perfect for wearing over leggings. And, if your more on the voluptuously curvy side, the sweater still looks stunning. I am a small/medium, but I have some curves, and I love the drape this sweater has.
I used Hygge yarn for this sweater. However, if you’re not into the shine or fuzzy look of that particular yarn, you can try using a different bulky weight yarn. Make sure you swatch it out to get a proper gauge though. Hygge does have a particular drape and heft to it, though, so to get the same effect, use the Hygge.
The color I used is called Sterling. It’s a silvery yarn with purplish undertones, but really all the colors are beautiful!
Happy Knitting!
