The Cozy bloomers are worked in main pattern from the top down seamlessly. First, work the waistband (there are two waistband options), then shape the back part with short rows for a better fit. Work the main part, the front and back gussets, the leg edges and the drawstring.

Main pattern – the half Fisherman’s rib.

Needles: 3.5 mm (US4) and 4 mm (US6) circular needles with a cable length of 40 cm (16 in); 3 mm (US2.5), 3.5 mm (US4) and 4 mm (US6) double pointed needles.
Notions: 2 mm (US0) circular needles with a cable length of 40 cm (16 in) for the drawstring waistband, 3.5 mm (E-4) crochet hook, stitch markers, about 50 cm (19.6 in) of waste yarn in a contrasting color, safety pin

Gauge of the main pattern (half fisherman’s rib) after washing and blocking – 20 stitches × 42 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm (4 in × 4 in) on 4 mm (US6) needles.
Before starting, be sure to make and wash the sample. Adjust the size of the needles if it is needed to achieve the correct gauge.
