Crochet skill level: Easy/Beginner
- This pattern uses crochet methods such as working into the back bumps of the foundation chain, back loop only stitches, slip stitch tapering, and a specific seaming method. Even if you are unfamiliar with some of these methods, I have included a photo guide in the pattern to help!
- There is no need to work in the round or use increasing/decreasing stitches as this beanie is worked flat and then seamed along one side to create its shape!
MATERIALS:
Crochet Hook: 7.0mm or size needed to obtain gauge
Yarn: Bulky weight yarn, or heavy Aran/worsted weight yarn
- Recommended Yarn: KnitPicks Swish Bulky
- Yards/Meters: Approximately 40 (57, 80, 100) (128, 153, 188) yards / 37 (52, 73, 91) (117, 140, 172) meters. Calculations do not include pom-poms, you will require additional yarn if you plan on making a yarn pom-pom.
- Note: The recommended yarn for this pattern is on the thinner side of bulky weight yarns. This pattern is not intended for thick bulky weight yarn. I highly suggest using the recommended yarn, one of the alternatives listed in the pattern, or a yarn very similar to my recommendation/alternatives.
