Cozy Campfire Hat
As we headed into fall and winter weather, I found myself craving a fun hat for hanging out with family and friends around the firepit. Figured I might not be alone in my thinking, so here’s a design for you and your loved ones too.
Cozy Campfire is worked from brim to crown in the round; brim is ribbed and colorwork is stranded. While pattern calls for Worsted weight yarn, I have also made versions of the hat using Worsted for the main color and DK weight for the contrast color; the hat worked up fine and fit beautifully.
Hat can be made with or without a pompom. As I worked up the pattern, I thought this would be knit up in school colors too.
Pattern professionally tech edited by Annie Lin.
Special thanks to my friend, Megan Hamilton for modeling this hat.
