Simple, cozy, and soft… Cozy Cardi is an oversized cropped cardigan, made for layering over your favorite cool weather outfits.

Construction details:
The back and fronts of Cozy Cardi are worked separately and then seamed together. Stitches are picked up along the side edges for the sleeves and worked towards the wrist. After the sleeves are worked, the side and sleeves are seamed and stitches are picked up for the front border with optional buttonholes.

Sizes: XS/S (M/L, XL/XXL, 3XL/4XL)

Finished measurements: 55 (63, 71, 89)”/140 (160, 180, 200) cm circumference and 18 (18, 19, 19)”/46 (46, 48, 48) cm length.

Christina is wearing size XS/S. Recommended ease is 23-27”/58-69 cm. A schematic is provided with additional finished measurements.

Gauge: 12 stitches and 17 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch using yarns held together on size needle to obtain gauge. The fabric is intended to be loose and soft to ensure proper drape.

Needles: US 10 (6 mm) needles and 32”/80 cm circular needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 720 (820, 950, 1050) yards of chunky weight (CYCA #5) yarn or equivalent yardage in each of multiple yarns held together.

To achieve the correct weight using multiple strands of yarn, we suggest holding 1 strand of DK weight (CYCA #3) together with 1 strand of fingering weight (CYCA #1) mohair OR holding 2 strands of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn together with 1 strand of fingering weight (CYCA #1) mohair.

Samples were made in colors “Fairytale” and “Gold Rush”, holding 1 strand each of:
Chelsea Luxe Cozy DK (100% superwash merino, 240 yards per skein) 3 (4, 4, 5) skeins;
And Chelsea Luxe Mohair (72% kid mohair and 28% silk, 459 yards per skein) 2 (2, 3, 3) skeins.

Other Materials: tapestry needle, five locking stitch markers, five 1.25”/3 cm buttons.
