Cozy Cat filet doily pattern has both written and chart instructions for filet crochet.

Gauge is not overly important for this project. I used a 1.5 mm hook with size 10 cotton thread. My finished size was 14” x 13”. But you can easily use finer thread to make it smaller or even yarn to increase the size.

I used approximately 300 yards of thread. You may need to adjust this if you choose to use something other than cotton size 10 thread.

The charts can also be used for tapestry crochet or C2C work. There are no instructions for either of these options, but if you are experienced in either and reading charts, you can easily adapt it for other projects. .
