I have used both European and American crochet terms.

The medium size measures 36cm/14” at its widest when stuffed, the large size measures 48cm/19” at its widest when stuffed.

I have used slightly smaller needles than the yarn suggests to prevent sagging over time and make the cushion more durable.

The cushion can be knit all in one colour if preferred.

There are a lot of loose ends in this project but instead of weaving them in, I worked them in under the joining yarn while I was joining the two pieces of the cushion together and it was a lot faster and easier.

This cushion can be stuffed as is or make an inner cushion to go inside it.

The gauge isn’t important but if you are combining yarns, as I did, the thickness you want to get is about what is stated below.

You can combine 2 strands of aran (worsted) or chunky yarn (bulky) + 2 strands DK
Garter stitch (knit all rows) 11sts x 22 rows = 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4”
