Introducing The Cozy Karma Kit, a harmonious fusion of knitting and mindfulness from mYak’s Mindful Stitches collection. This unique kit features the re-designed Cozy Karma Hat, now with an improved brim and created using the vibrant colors of mYak’s Tibetan Cloud yarn. Available in a variety of curated color combinations, this project invites you to embrace your creativity by exploring your own color striping patterns.

But the fun doesn’t stop there—once the hat is complete, the leftover yarn becomes part of a meaningful project. Use it to create six or eight small Tibetan Karma Flags, each featuring a different stitch pattern. These flags, inspired by the colorful Tibetan prayer flags seen throughout the Tibetan Plateau; designed to carry your hopes and intentions into the wind. They also offer a wonderful way to practice new knitting techniques like binding off, gauge experimentation, and blocking. The best part? The quick gratification that comes from finishing each small flag.

The Cozy Karma Kit is more than just a knitting project—it’s a mindful journey, perfect for those looking to cultivate tranquility, creativity, and self-care, one stitch at a time.
This kit maximizes the yarn, minimizing left overs. This kit allows for a 6 in/15 cm square swatch for hat gauge in color C or D that will need to be unknit and used for the flags.

CONSTRUCTION:
A comfy hat worked using stripes for a colorful play and slouchy style with an ample fit. There is a double brim to keep your ears warm and the brim can be folded up to wear the hat as a beanie. The brim starts with a provisional cast-on and knit in a 2x1 rib. It is then folded in half where the live stitches are knit together with the working stitches continuing in stockinette each of the colors are joined to create the striping. The crown is worked using decreases. The brim is designed so that when it’s folded up the color stripe of the hat that is covered shows on the brim along with a peek from the 1st color.
