This pattern includes directions for a worsted mitt and a chunky mitt. These mitts are super useful for those cool spring and summer days at outside parties when your hand freezes because your drink is cold, or on fall and winter days when your drink is too warm. My mom has begged me to make her one of these for the longest time but I put it off because I couldn’t find a pattern, so I wrote one!
You can make a matching mitten to go with them or leave them single, but the materials listed is for the koozie mitts only.

Materials:

Worsted Mitt
Yarn: Most of 1 ball of Patons Canadiana, 100g, 205 yds. 100% Acrylic (I had a small ball left over)
Needles: US Size (4) 3.5mm, dpns and a circular needle long enough for magic loop (mine was around 40” long)

Chunky Mitt
Yarn: 1 ball of Lionbrand Hometown USA, 142g, 81 yd, 100% Acyrlic (I used the entire ball, not a bit leftover)
Needles, US Size (13) 9mm, dpns and a circular needle long enough for magic loop (mine was around 40” long)

Tapestry needle

Stitch holder (not entirely necessary. I stored stitches on a spare dpn while working on the finger area of the mitt)
