Cozy Memories Blanket
My mom knit a blanket similar to this one sometime before I was born. I remember curling up underneath it all through my childhood. That blanket is looking pretty tired now, and my mom wanted to make another one but she no longer had the instructions, so I came up with this pattern.
The stitch pattern is a simple four-row repeat, creating interesting patterns at the colour changes and a lovely texture. The bulky yarn makes it super thick and cozy!
Approximate size is 41” x 69” after blocking. Instructions for adjusting length are included. Width may be adjusted by casting on more or fewer stitches in multiples of 2.
This pattern uses four colours, a neutral main colour and three stripes/accents colours. Quantities as follows:
A (main colour): 12 balls
B (accent): 1 ball
C (stripes/accent): 3 balls
D (stripes): 1 ball
Low Vision Accessibility: This pattern is available in a low vision accessible format as a separate PDF with the pattern file name in ALL CAPS LVA. It is written in 24 point Arial font in all black text on a white background. All text is left-justified and has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out. This pattern is also screen reader accessible and has been reviewed and tested to work with a screen reader. It does not contain any parentheses. Special thanks to momcook for her guidance and testing.
