I love the look of those big loopy cowls - and I live in a cold climate and do a lot of walking in the winter. To keep warm, I prefer a cowl that wraps tightly around my neck and is wide enough to tuck my nose inside to escape from the cold wind off the water.

I designed this cowl to use just one skein of the soft and squishy Puffin yarn by Quince & Co. It shows the details of the stitch pattern and quickly knits up to a soft and thick fabric that’s sure to keep you cozy all winter.

This pattern uses a Waffle stitch - a variant of the Brioche stitch. It’s easy to work once you know how. The pattern includes a photo tutorial to help you get started.
