This was designed as a man’s scarf, and the neckline tucks nicely and quietly under a jacket or coat collar. For a scarf phobic person, it’s perfect, but for anyone, it wraps nicely without bulk. It is not limited to guys, however, as it’s a great neckline.

The incomparable NatalieB was nice enough to model the scarf on the fly, as I grabbed it off the Relay for Life table at an event, snapped a few hasty pictures with my phone, and made some pattern notes.
