This pattern was created out of a desire for a light but cozy, luxuriously textured sock. The waffle stitch is a classic easy stitch pattern and the sock is made modern with the saturated high contrast modern colours of Kelbourne Woolens’ Perennial sock yarn.

We find that Perennial is slightly lighter than a standard sock weight fingering yarn, so a 2.25mm needle (for small circumference knitting) is ideal, but the squishy texture of waffle stitch is very accommodating- feel free to size up or down a needle size to suit your personal fit preference.
