Special thanks to intrepid test knitters Lesley Weihs and Michelle Mingo Lewis for there expertise.

The Crab Dip sweater is knit from the top down, with some short row shaping to raise the back of the neck for comfort. The colorwork chart is started after the short rows and continues to the underarm separation. I highly recommend using the ladder back jacquard technique to control your contras color floats especially when using a light or high contrast main color.
Once working the body and sleeves, a stripe pattern is introduced. (Feel free to knit this section in a solid color if that suits your taste.) This 8 row repeat makes knitting engaging. For the sleeves it allows for easy decreases tracking! Finish everything off with a simple rib and you will be ready to take your Crabby cardigan out for a stroll..
This pattern is medium difficulty because of the yoke chart. The yoke goes by quickly. Use tacking sparingly in the yoke to control floats at your desired rate being sure to AVOID stacking a tack from one round to the next in the same column of stitches.
